5-7-5

5-7-5 and again for yucky and yummy. At Enrich I have been learning Haiku poems. Haiku poems are poems that have 5 syllables then 7 then 5 again. Here is one about my worst favourite food and my favourite food.



Cooked Vegetables

Worse in a stir fry
In the pot for tea tonight
Yucky in my mouth.


Meat

Chewy for my teeth
Sausages on barbeque
Delicious for me.

Here Comes The Bride

Here comes the bride,
Big, fat and wide,
Slips on a banana skin ...
And stays there till she dies!!!

I was the Flower girl for Mia's wedding. There was lots of bridesmaids. She had the most colourful dress. She had her wedding at the ILT Cafe'. Yes you are exactly right it was only a little bit of fun at the end of performance today. We do performance as a talent development programme because it helps with understanding music.   We rehearsed our songs today.  I am really trying hard to sing loud and proud.  Even though I am singing loud, I don't want to sound like I'm screaming, so I have to control my tone! 

Is There Life on Mars?

We were singing 'Is There Life on Mars?' at the performance group today. It is my 

FAVOURITE song that we sing. I wrote the chorus above for you to look at.   

The Morning

"Who's turn is it now? Oh yes it's your turn Brianna" Katie wondered. I stepped up to the white battle team. I  reach out my hand but then stopped to think. I look at my team. Katie was giving me advice so I stepped a bit closer to her. Then I walked to the other side of the board to do it. We were having a  lesson of chess with 13 other girls. Katie was teaching us some more strategies of how to win a chess game. I learnt lots of things. Chess falls into the cornerstone of mental edge. After the chess lesson we looked at a Renzulli's model of giftedness. It included task commitment, creativity and above average ability. He believes that you HAVE TO have all three things to be gifted.  His model applies to adults mainly, but it was good for us to look at it as well.

On Stage

"Broad bean, jelly bean, string bean, french bean,""Ooh la la ."  It was now time to go up on stage and with the rest of the movie stars and sing "Don't stop me now." We sang the morning show, midday show, afternoon show and the evening show. Then we let the audience see the funniest thing of the song we sung. It was so funny I think they wet their pants. Then we sung a sad sort of song called "Taller, Stronger, Better." I heard the tears of sadness in front of me. Yes we were  in Nicola's music group.

 

Battle on

Rise then thump. Slide and stop. Lift... Kabash. Yes it's mine. "Ha ha ha that was a silly move," laughed the Rook who killed the enemy's pawn that had turned into a Queen. It went on. "Oh no I only have my Rook and Knight to protect me,'' yelled the King after a while in battle. The enemy only had a King though. The terrible fighting went on. Clash went the swords. It ended when the big giant came and shouted "It's a draw''. That was the game of chess I played against Lucy today at Enrich.

Performance

Hi everyone, Today I'm going to tell you a bit about my Talent Development project.  I 'm in the performance. The teacher is Nicola. The end projects are going to be little performances. I chose this group because I want to make song  albums and I think Nicola will teach me more notes. Today we got to do a little dance, poem or sing. I did one of my ballet dances. Then we danced to music.
